The most economical way to increase the amount of living space in your home is to finish your basement. The first thing to consider when finishing your basement is waterproofing. Since McCoy has been making leaky basements
waterproof for over fifty years we know better than to cover a wall that is showing early signs of failure. Our modular wall panels ride in a track mounted to the floor and are fastened to the ceiling joists. They are easier to remove than dry wall from studs as they are not attached to the concrete. This allows for an optional air gap, which improves the insulation properties. The panels are impervious to water and do not support mold growth.

Our basement finishing and remodeling business is a natural outgrowth of out experience in making leaky basements waterproof and deteriorating basement walls straight and stable. Simply, we learned how to do a messy job without leaving a big mess. We carry that over into building modular basement walls. Unlike most remodelers, we are equipped to install safety egress windows and basement egress stairs that will make your basement code compliant living space.
Modular Wall Covering Designed for Basements

Our 48in. wide by 96in. long, composite interior wall panel system, consists of 1/2-in. thick Mold Resistant Fiber Rock board with 6mil vinyl laminated to the exposed surface. Nominal 2-1/2-in. thick extruded polystyrene closed cell foam insulation is permanently adhered to the back of the fiber rock board. The composite results in a nominal 3-in. thick building unit with outstanding rigidity and moisture resistance.

To secure the modular wall panel a mounting channel is secured to the concrete floor using concrete anchors. Notice the beneficial air gap between the channel and the wall.

The modular wall panel is placed on the channel so that the channel pierces the closed foam backing, providing a tight and secure anchor point across the full width of the panel. The wall fits close to the floor, hiding the anchor channel.
